Meet Jennifer, POMA Owner & Instructor

Meet Kayla, POMA Kids & Teens Owner & Instructor

Jennifer is the owner and instructor of POMA (adult studio). Jennifer started Piece of My Art back in 2004 and taught kids, teens, and adults for over 16 years. Now, she is excited to expand the adult classes while Kayla takes over with the kids and teens.
Jennifer is largely self-taught, although she continues to expand her skills in taking classes with her favorite seasoned artists throughout the country. Her exhibits include painting six public fiberglass statues throughout local municipalities, including one at the Big E, and in FLA, as well as an exhibit at MASS General Cancer Center, and a permanent display at the Log Cabin & Delaney House. She has also done many commissioned pieces over the years.
Painting and drawing are her deepest passions, next to bringing out or helping to develop her students' skills, to the point of some becoming professional artists themselves! It makes her feel so good to work with a complete beginner and prove to them that they have skills just waiting to be honed!

Meet Kayla, POMA Kids & Teens Owner & Instructor

Kayla is the owner and instructor of POMA Kids & Teens Studio. She grew up in Westfield and is an alumna of Piece of My Art Studio herself! Kayla is also currently a full-time public school teacher, and is excited to build a fun and safe space for young artists to create and and have fun after school!
Kayla is a lifelong learner and artist and has earned her Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts (BFA) in Art Education (University of Massachusetts Amherst, 2018) and recently earned her Master's in Art Education from the Art of Education University. 🎉
Kayla loves to dabble across multi-media, and has done extensive work in both acrylic and watercolor painting, charcoal drawing, printmaking, and pottery. When she's not teaching or creating, Kayla enjoys spending time with her dog, Moto, and two cats, Matcha and Maxine.
Kayla is honored to continue the POMA legacy created by Jennifer, and she cannot wait to meet you!
