Acrylic painting, colored pencil, charcoal, graphite, and occasionally, fabric collage.

*Classes are on Tuesdays at 10:30-12:30 or at 6:00-8:00 PM, although I am open by

5:00 so if two hours earlier works better for you, just let me know if you’ll be coming in

before 6pm.

*Cost is $25 each, cash, check (to POMA), or Venmo. Bulk classes (4 or more) are $20

each and are to be used as consecutively as possible - no make up classes for no

shows/no calls.

*Everyone paints what they want using photos on a device, printed out, or other

paintings as reference (there are hundreds in the studio).

*I love to see any work you’ve done (if there is any) to get an idea of where you’re at skill

wise so feel free to send me some pics!

*If you’re a beginner, it helps me to start you with a landscape and to help you choose

your first project so that we start simple and build our communication before going on to

more complex projects.

*I guide you throughout as much as you need to translate the reference picture(s) into a

painting.

*A great deal of drawing is learned through painting, and in my opinion, drawing is easier

to learn after learning painting, as many people find the transition from using pencils to

brushes much harder than vice versa.

*Some students do both though, so get drawing supplies too, only if you’d like to.

*If you’re already a skilled painter and just want some studio time and possibly some

extra eyes/input/encouragement/inspiration, we can do that too! Just let me know what

your needs are!

*The studio is located in Westfield at 139 Meadow Street in Westfield. There is a small parking lot in the rear, or you may street park in front of the building, or along the studio side on Frederick Street.
